WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- Josh Stowers finished a single away from the cycle and totaled six RBIs to lead No. 24 Louisville to a 10-2 victory over Wake Forest in pool play of the ACC Championship at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park on Wednesday.

With the loss, the Demon Deacons (25-31) can no longer advance out of pool play and will conclude their season against Duke on Thursday morning.

The Cardinals (41-16) and Blue Devils will play a winner-take-all game on Friday to determine who wins the pool.

Logan Harvey notched two of Wake Forest's five hits to lead the offense. He scored the first run of the game on a double-play ball in the third inning to put the Deacs ahead, 1-0.

Wake Forest starter Colin Peluse cruised through three innings before running into trouble in the fourth. Devin Mann doubled, Logan Wyatt walked and Stowers hit the first pitch over the wall in left field to put Louisville in front, 3-1.

Those were the only runs Peluse allowed, as he struck out four while conceding five hits and a walk in 4.2 innings.

A pair of Deacon miscues helped the Cardinals plate two more in the sixth.

With Jake Mueller and Chris Lanzilli on base with one out after walking in the eighth, a Louisville error brought home a run to make the score 5-2. The next two batters - as the potential tying runs - popped out and grounded out to end the inning.

Louisville then tacked on five runs in the bottom of the inning, capped off by a bases-clearing triple from Stowers.

Reid Detmers (4-1) started and earned the win for Louisville. In 5.2 innings, he allowed a run on four hits and two walks with five strikeouts.
