GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Wake Forest junior Tyler Witt was named to the 2018 All-ACC Academic Team on Tuesday, recognizing his success on the field and in the classroom.

Minimum academic requirements for selection to the All-ACC Academic Team are a 3.0 grade point average for the previous semester and a 3.0 cumulative average during one's academic career for undergraduate students. Athletic achievements during the most recent season are also considered in selecting the All-ACC Academic Team.

Witt, majoring in health and exercise science, was Wake Forest's most-used reliever out of the bullpen. In 33 appearances, he had a 2-4 record and 5.26 ERA.

The left-handed pitcher struck out 45 batters in 51.1 innings. He also recorded a pair of saves in wins over UNCG and Georgia Tech, while tallying victories against Liberty and Radford.
