WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- Wake Forest women's basketball coach Jen Hoover announced Thursday the addition of Olivia Bresnahan and Chase Vaden to the women's basketball staff. Bresnahan will serve as the new director of operations while Vaden will operate as the team's new video coordinator / assistant director of operations.
"I am thrilled with the newest additions to our staff this year as I continue to strive to bring in people of high character, integrity and a tireless work ethic in all that they do," said Hoover. "Olivia and Chase will bring knowledgeable enthusiastic attitudes to our program, along with a passion for student-athletes and women's basketball. They are here to help bring out the best in us all. It's exciting to think of all the ways they will positively impact our program as wonderful additions to the family atmosphere at Wake Forest."
Bresnahan joins the Demon Deacons after spending the last three seasons as a graduate assistant at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh. While on the Dukes' staff, Bresnahan was responsible for numerous aspects of the program, including the management of team video, apparel purchasing and the compilation of scouting reports. Additionally, Bresnahan worked closely with the coaching staff to budget the team's 2017 foreign tour.
Bresnahan transitioned from player to coach after concluding her playing career at Duquesne where she was named a team captain for the 2013-14 and 2014-15 seasons. No stranger to the ACC, Bresnahan began her playing career at Florida State where she was a two-time Gold Torch Academic Award winner for the best GPA. Bresnahan received her bachelor's degree in business administration; marketing in 2015 and her master's degree in business administration in 2017, both from Duquesne.
Vaden, a Winston-Salem native who graduated from Reagan High School, joins the Deacs with years of video and technical experience. Vaden most recently worked with the Winston-Salem Dash in a variety of roles, including serving as a camera operator and as a designer of gameday graphics. He also worked with NetCast Sports as a technical director, camera operator and in the production of graphics. He has also worked with FloHoops as a play-by-play announcer for some of the top high school basketball tournaments and showcases across the country.
A 2014 graduate of Ronald W. Reagan High School, Vaden received his associate's degree in arts from Forsyth Technical Community College and is working towards his bachelor's degree in electronic media/broadcasting from Appalachian State.
