• The top-ranked Demon Deacons close their three-game homestand on Tuesday against Georgia Southern at 7 p.m.
Last Time Out
• Wake Forest earned a 3-0 victory in the ACC-opener over No. 8 NC State on Friday night behind a pair of goals from Omir Fernandez, who was named the ACC Co-Offensive Player of the Week on Monday.
• The Deacs also tallied a late own goal to cap off the scoring.
• Andreu Cases Mundet saved the only shot on goal he faced to earn his first shutout of the season - the 18th of his career.

• Wake Forest was ranked No. 5 in the nation in the United Soccer Coaches preseason poll and moved up to No. 1 in the first weekly poll. The Deacs have been ranked in the top five in 24 consecutive polls dating back to the middle of the 2016 season - 22 more weeks than any other program (Michigan State - 3).
• The Deacs were picked to repeat as the ACC Atlantic Division champion in the ACC preseason poll. North Carolina is projected to win the Coastal Division and overall title.
• Wake Forest has a lot of new faces after sending seven into the MLS ranks following the 2017 season. Still, the Deacs brought in the No. 2 recruiting class in the country, headlined by top-50 recruits Isaiah Parente, Kyle Holcomb, Koby Carr and Aristotle Zarris.
• Since the start of the Bobby Muuss era in 2015, Wake Forest has a 60-8-7 overall record. That win total is the most of any Division I program.
Opponent & Series History
• Wake Forest leads the all-time series against Georgia Southern, 2-0. The Deacons claimed an 8-0 win in 2002 and 3-1 victory in 2012.
• Georgia Southern was unbeaten until falling to Florida Gulf Coast on Friday by a 2-0 score. Wake Forest earned a 3-1 win over FGCU earlier this season.
• Javier Carbonell and Adam Davie have combined to score all seven of Georgia Southern's goals. Carbonell has 10 points on four goals and two assists, while Davie has scored three times, including two game-winners.
• Jokull Blaengsson has played every minute in goal, tallying a 0.95 goals-against average and .765 save percentage with two shutouts.
