The Matchup
• The Wake Forest women's basketball team rings in the new year and the start of ACC play on Sunday, January 6, as the Deacs play host to Miami.
• Tipoff is set for 1:00 p.m. inside the LJVM Coliseum. Sunday's game will be on ACC Network Extra, with Geoff Arnold and Stan Lewter on the call.
Last Time Out
• The Deacs won their sixth consecutive game, 63-61 over Norfolk State, to close out nonconference play.
• Elisa Penna led all scorers with 19 points while Alex Sharp nearly recorded a double-double with 12 points and eight rebounds.
