No. 2 Wake Forest, Loyola Maryland Play to 1-1 Draw

The Greyhounds tied the game with 12 seconds left in regulation en route to the tie.
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- Loyola Maryland scored with 12 seconds left in regulation to force No. 2 Wake Forest into a 1-1 draw at Spry Stadium on Tuesday night.
The Demon Deacons (12-2-1) scored in the sixth minute courtesy of Bruno Lapa, but the Greyhounds found the late answer from Josh Fawole.
"The result is on me," head coach Bobby Muuss said. "We need our key guys to step up and play big minutes on a consistent basis. Let's be fair, this is a tough game. It's the last non-conference game, midweek, Loyola comes in with nothing to lose...our guys just didn't play well tonight and that's on me."
Wake Forest held a 10-3 advantage in shots in the opening half, including Lapa's one-timer to finish off a cross from Calvin Harris. Lapa has now scored in five straight games.
Loyola Maryland turned things around after that, though, holding a 9-5 lead in shots the rest of the way. Eddy Rodriguez sent a ball into the box in the closing seconds, where Fawole clanked a shot off the bottom of the crossbar and into the net for the equalizer.
Andrew Pannenberg stopped the other five shots on goal he faced, while Loyola's Chase Vosvick made three saves.
Wake Forest will honor its six graduating seniors prior to Saturday night's game against Notre Dame on ACCNX.
