Wake Forest alum Aubrey Bledsoe will participate in a training camp prior to the National Team's last two games of the year.
She previously competed with the U.S. U-23 team but will be making her debut with the senior team at a training camp as one of four keepers prior to the final two matches of the season against Sweden on Nov. 7 and Costa Rica on Nov. 10.
Bledsoe was recently named to the NWSL Best XI as the top goalkeeper in the league. With the Washington Spirit, she made 24 starts and recorded nine clean sheets to go along with a .775 save percentage.
"I am incredibly happy for Aubrey for her call-up to the full national team," Wake Forest head coach Tony da Luz said. "This is an acknowledgment of years of hard work. She deserves the chance to prove herself and I am so proud of her dedication to being a first-class professional. We hope this is the first of many Team USA call-ups!"
This is the first roster set by new head coach Vlatko Andonovski. Made up of 24 total players, Andonovski will name 18 players to suit up for the final two matches.
At Wake Forest from 2010-13, Bledsoe was an All-American goalkeeper and holds the program career records for shutouts (33), goals-against average (0.91) and minutes played in goal (8,692). She just wrapped up her sixth pro season, including her second with the Spirit.
