Caitlin Clarke Tabbed to Academic All-District First Team

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Wake Forest volleyball senior Caitlin Clarke has been named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District 3 team which recognizes the success of student-athletes both on the court and in the classroom.
Clarke is the primary libero for the Deacons and is the only Wake Forest player to appear in all 88 sets of the season. She leads the team with 314 digs, averaging 3.57 digs per set. The Houston, Texas native has also added 65 assists and 23 service aces.
Clarke is a psychology major and is minoring in Spanish and neuroscience. She has a 3.97 GPA and is set to graduate in May.
To be eligible for the CoSIDA Academic All-District team, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.3 GPA while being a meaningful contributor on the court in at least their second year at the school. Voting is conducted among sports information directors by region.
As a first team region recipient, Clarke's name will now appear on the national ballot and she is a candidate for Academic All-America honors. Academic All-America honorees will be announced in early December.
