Walter Announces 2020 Baseball Schedule

Wake Forest will play 30 games at David F. Couch Ballpark this season.
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- Wake Forest head baseball coach announced the 2020 schedule on Tuesday, featuring 30 games at David F. Couch Ballpark.
The Demon Deacons will play 20 games against teams which qualified for last year's NCAA Tournament.
Wake Forest's home ACC series will be against Louisville (March 6-8), Clemson (March 13-15), North Carolina (March 27-29), Florida State (April 17-19) and Duke (May 8-10), all of which reached the NCAA Tournament last year, with all but Clemson winning their respective NCAA Regional.
The Deacs will also travel to NC State (March 20-22), Virginia Tech (April 3-5), Virginia (April 9-11), Notre Dame (April 24-26) and Boston College (May 14-16).
"We're excited to play such a challenging ACC schedule as usual," head coach Tom Walter said. "We'll be tested every weekend during ACC play, and have a great cast of teams coming to Couch Ballpark. It should be a fun season for Deacon fans and we're looking forward to rising to the test."
Before heading into ACC play, the Deacs will host weekend round-robins with Seton Hall and Milwaukee (Feb. 14-16), and La Salle, Brown and Sacred Heart (Feb. 28-March 1). Wake Forest will also travel to perennial power Long Beach State for a three-game series (Feb. 21).
In midweek action, the Deacs will have home-and-homes with UNCG, App State, Coastal Carolina, Charlotte, High Point and Elon. Wake Forest will also play its annual Jim Horn Memorial Game against Gardner-Webb at Keeter Stadium in Shelby on April 29. The Deacons' game at Charlotte will be played at BB&T Ballpark, the home of the Charlotte Knights, the White Sox' AAA affiliate.
BB&T Ballpark in Charlotte will also be this year's home of the ACC Championship, slated for May 19-24.
