Quotes:
Head Coach Dave Clawson…
"Our fans at BB&T Field provide an unbelievable amount of energy for our players on gameday. We love competing at home and playing in front of the student body and Deacon Nation, as they were a big part of a school record six home wins last season. Playing in Charlotte against Notre Dame is an excellent opportunity for our student-athletes and fans to experience an NFL stadium and a bowl-style atmosphere. In the meantime, we're looking forward to seeing everyone inside Yankee Stadium next week and at the spring game in April."
Athletic Director John Currie…
"Coming off the 2019 Big 4 Championship and our fourth consecutive bowl season, we are already excited for the 2020 season under Coach Clawson's leadership. We expect multiple sellouts at BB&T Field and season tickets are the best way for fans to optimize the value of all seating options and pricing. In addition, we are excited to showcase Wake Forest Football, again on a national stage on Sept. 26 in Charlotte, against one of America's most iconic college sports brands, Notre Dame. Wake Forest is the only ACC school with an academic campus in Charlotte and we look forward to painting the Queen City Black and Gold for this important match-up.
2020 Wake Forest Football Outlook:
With wins over UNC, NC State & Duke in football in 2019, the Deacs won the Big 4 Championship for the eighth time in program history and now boast a record of 30-18 against those ACC rivals since the turn of the century.

In addition, during that time, Wake Forest is 43-18 against all in-state opponents.
Wake Forest placed a school record 14 players on the 2019 All-ACC football team and were represented by three players on the first team, including wide receiver Sage Surratt, defensive end Carlos "Boogie" Basham, Jr., and placekicker Nick Sciba.
Wake Forest's 14 honored players exceeds the previous season-high of 12 selected following the 2017 season. The three first team picks marks the first time since 2008 that the Deacons have had a trio of players named to the top unit.
Also, Sciba was named to three different All-America football teams as he garnered first team All-America honors by ESPN, second team by Sports Illustrated and third team by the Associated Press. He is the first Wake Forest placekicker to be named an All-American since Sam Swank in 2006.
Coach Dave Clawson and the Deacs have a chance to continue to build momentum ahead of the 2020 season on Friday, Dec. 27, when Wake Forest plays Michigan State in the New Era Pinstripe Bowl.
