Cameron Young Named ACC Player of the Month

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Wake Forest senior Cameron Young was named ACC Men's Golf Player of the Month for March, the conference announced Wednesday (Apr. 3).

Young had two strong performances in March for the Demon Deacons, as the team climbed to No. 3 in the national rankings. Young won the individual title at the General Hackler Championship in Myrtle Beach, his third career victory and first since his freshman season. The following week, Young finished fourth to lead Wake Forest to the title at the Valspar Collegiate, a field that included six of the top 10 teams in the nation. He shot par or better in all six of his rounds in March, including posting 66 in the first round of both events.

The honor is the second of his career as he also was honored in October of his freshman season in 2015-16.

The Demon Deacons return to action this weekend with the Augusta Haskins Award Invitational in Augusta, Ga.
