The Matchup
• Wake Forest closes out the regular season with a trip to Clemson. Thursday and Friday's games will air on ACC Network Extra, while Saturday's contest will be broadcast on RSN, which includes Fox Sports South.
Last Time Out
• Wake Forest claimed the series finale over No. 14 Miami on Monday before falling at Radford on Tuesday.
• In Monday's victory, the Deacs plated five runs in the eighth to turn a 6-4 deficit into a 9-6 lead. Bobby Seymour tied the game with a two-run double, then Shane Muntz hit a go-ahead two-run homer and Michael Ludowig followed with a solo blast.
• Wake Forest scored the last six runs of the game in Tuesday's loss at Radford, but it wasn't enough to overcome an early 8-0 deficit.
Wake Forest Storylines
• Wake Forest's offense has become one of the powers of the ACC. The Deacs rank in the top five in the league in batting average, runs, home runs and slugging percentage, also ranking in the top 20 nationally in runs, homers and walks.
• A quartet of Deacons have been the catalyst to that offense: Bobby Seymour, Chris Lanzilli, Patrick Frick and Shane Muntz. Seymour and Frick are ranked in the top five in the ACC with batting averages of .377 and .356, respectively. Seymour is tied for the national lead with 82 RBIs on 18 doubles and eight homers. Frick has hit 14 doubles and four homers while drawing a team-best 37 walks. Lanzilli is hitting .341, also totaling 15 homers, 17 doubles and 61 RBIs. Muntz is batting .325 with 14 homers and has went deep seven times in his last 10 games.
Opponent & Series History
• Clemson leads the all-time series over Wake Forest and has claimed three-straight series since the Deacs won in Clemson in 2015.
• The Tigers enter the series with a 31-22 record, including a 13-14 mark in ACC play. Preseason All-American Logan Davidson is hitting .300, leading the team with 16 doubles, 14 homers and 52 RBIs with 17 stolen bases. Since winning four of their first five ACC series, the Tigers have dropped four-straight conference weekends.
On Deck
• Wake Forest has already clinched a spot in next week's ACC Championship. Seedings and matchups will be determined after this weekend, with pool play set to begin Tuesday.
