Both Chris Lanzilli and Bobby Seymour earned additional All-America honors, as well as All-Region.
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- Wake Forest sophomores Chris Lanzilli and Bobby Seymour received additional national honors from various outlets on Wednesday.
Perfect Game released its college All-Americans list, picking Seymour as a second team selection at DH and Lanzilli as a third team outfielder.
The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) also voted Lanzilli as a second team pick in the outfield.
The American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) announced its Rawlings All-Region Teams, where both were selected to the first team: Seymour at first base and Lanzilli in the outfield. The ABCA will announce its All-America teams on Saturday.
Both Lanzilli and Seymour were previously honored as All-Americans by Collegiate Baseball, as well.
"Chris and Bobby were two of the best hitters in the country this year," head coach Tom Walter said. "They both deserve all the accolades they're receiving, and we can't wait to see what kind of steps they can take as juniors next year."
Lanzilli wrapped up 2019 with a .347 average, totaling 19 doubles and 67 RBIs in addition to a team-leading 16 home runs.
Seymour, the ACC Player of the Year, finished the season with a .377 average, 20 doubles, nine homers, and a nation-leading 92 RBIs.
