The Matchup
• The seventh-ranked Wake Forest men's tennis team will host UCF on Friday at 7 p.m. at the Wake Forest Tennis Center
• The Deacs are 2-0 all-time against the Knights. Their last meeting was last season at UCF where the Deacs won 4-3 against the 48th ranked Knights. Bar Botzer clinched the victory for the second-ranked Deacons.
Last Time Out
• Wake Forest punched its ticket to the ITA National Indoor Championships after defeating ETSU and Kentucky during ITA Kickoff Weekend.
• Freshman Taha Baadi delivered a two-set victory on the second court to clinch the match sending Wake Forest to the Indoor Championships for the fourth consecutive season.
• ITA National Indoor will be held Feb. 14-17 in Madison, Wis.
Bresky Gets Win Number 200
• Coach Tony Bresky collected his 200th career-victory in the first match of the season over Coastal Carolina.
• His .767 overall winning percentage is the best of any Wake Forest men's tennis coach.
Scouting the Knights
• UCF is 2-2 on the season.
• Wake will be the fourth ranked team the Knights will face through five matches this season.
• The Knights went 1-1 at ITA Kickoff Weekend in Los Angeles. UCF won their initial matchup against then No. 24 San Diego before being edged in a close contest to No. 10 UCLA.
• Gabriel Decamps leads the Knights at the top court ranked No. 22 and Decamps and doubles partner Juan Pablo Grassi Mazzuchi rank sixth nationally.
Meet the Deacs
• The Deacs return 11 players from last year's NCAA finals team and welcome seven newcomers to the squad.
• Freshmen Brant Fenno, Juan Lopez de Azcona, Jack Parry, Matt Thomson and transfer Robert Maciag joined the Deacs in the fall, while Taha Baadi and Henri Squire enrolled in January.
