Bresky Announces Addition of Luciano Tacchi

The Argentina native ranked as high as No. 20 in the ITF Junior Rankings
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Wake Forest men's tennis coach Tony Bresky announced the signing of one of the highest ranked junior players in the world on Thursday afternoon.
Luciano Tacchi, who is eligible for the 2020-21 season, ranked as high as No. 20 in the ITF Junior Rankings. In 2020, Taachi has also seen a rise in the ATP rankings, moving up 90 spots since the start of the new year.
"We are thrilled to have Luciano join our program," Coach Bresky said. "He's a very accomplished player, ranked top 20 in the world, in addition to being an excellent student. Luciano aspires to play professional tennis and will be a natural fit with his future teammates and very much aligns his goals with those of our program. We are eager to start working with Luciano and look for him to make an immediate impact for us this season."
Throughout his junior career, the Bella Vista, Argentina native has claimed eight tournament titles including three in 2018 alone.
With the addition of Tacchi for the upcoming season, Wake Forest will have eight international student-athletes on the roster for next season. Tacchi becomes the first player from Argentina in program history.
