WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- Wake Forest Athletics announced Monday the creation of "STRIDE," a University initiative that will educate and empower Demon Deacon student-athletes to capitalize on their Name, Image and Likeness and take the necessary steps to amplify their personal brands.

"STRIDE" will provide a comprehensive program for student-athletes focusing on two key initiatives: education and personal brand management. Education will be delivered through University staff and industry professionals. This program will provide Wake Forest's student-athletes with the tools and resources to enable them to build their brands, and capitalize on their name, image and likeness given the potential NCAA legislation on this topic.

"STRIDE" will help grow and extend the Wake Forest University brand, while educating and empowering all Demon Deacon student-athletes to enhance their own personal brands.

"STRIDE" will be an extremely impactful program for all of our current and future student-athletes," Director of Athletics John Currie said. "Educating our student-athletes and helping them build their personal brands are a major part of providing a World Class Student-Athlete Experience. With change coming quickly to Name, Image, and Likeness rights for our student-athletes, it's on us as leaders to be prepared with innovative solutions to best help our young men and women, coaches, and staff in this area."

Deacon Nation is encouraged to stay tuned all week on social media and GoDeacs.com for the introduction of specific plans and partnerships that will help Wake Forest Athletics achieve its goals within this initiative.
