Deacs Set to Open Season at Gulf Coast Showcase

Wake Forest will play three games in Fort Myers, Fla. to start the 2020-21 campaign.

FORT MYERS, Fla. – The Wake Forest women's basketball team is set to open the season at the Gulf Coast Showcase, running from Nov. 27-29 in Ft. Myers, Fla.

The Demon Deacons are set to play three games over the course of the tournament, starting with Arkansas on Nov. 27 at 11:30 a.m.

Last season, the Deacs reached the quarterfinals of the ACC women's basketball tournament with wins over North Carolina and Virginia Tech. At the conclusion of the tournament, Ivana Raca earned First Team All-ACC Tournament honors to go along with her All-ACC second team honors during the regular season.

The remainder of the Wake Forest women's basketball schedule will be released at a later date.

Friday, Nov. 27 – Wake Forest vs. Arkansas (11:30 a.m.)
Saturday, Nov. 28 – Wake Forest vs. Davidson (11:30 a.m.)
Sunday, Nov. 29 – Wake Forest vs. Missouri State (2:30 p.m.)
