For the third consecutive game, Ivana Raca led the way offensively with a game-high 18 points

GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Wake Forest women's basketball run in the ACC Tournament ended in the quarterfinal round on Friday with a 76-47 loss to No. 22 Florida State.

The Demon Deacons (16-16) run to the quarterfinals marked the furthest Wake Forest had since the 15-team expansion of the tournament.

Junior Ivana Raca led the Deacs offensively for the eighth-consecutive game, netting a game-high 18 points in the loss. Over the course of Wake's three-day stay in Greensboro, she averaged 20.33 points including tying her career-high with 27 points in the Demon Deacons' first round victory over North Carolina.

In her final ACC Tournament appearance, senior Alex Sharp totaled eight points and a team-high five rebounds.

The nationally-ranked Seminoles (22-7) came out on fire from behind the arc, finishing the game with 10 three pointers in the game. Florida State had four players finish with double-figure points.

"I'm super proud of this team for what we came to Greensboro to do," head coach Jen Hoover said. "The fact that we came up short today is no discouragement to me because these kids are warriors and they fought and clawed all week long."

For the third consecutive game in the ACC Tournament, Raca led all scorers at halftime. On Friday, the All-ACC selection netted 13 points in the first 20 minutes of play on 6-of-10 from field.

She did all of her scoring in a stretch of 10 minutes from the midway point of the first quarter to the 5:53 mark of the second quarter. Raca's three pointer at that point made it a 27-19 game in favor of the Seminoles.

At halftime, the Deacs trailed 42-25 as Florida State was able to find its range from distance. The Seminoles knocked down 8-of-10 shots from behind the arc with three players having multiple three pointers.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
• After being held scoreless for the first five minutes of play, All-ACC selection Ivana Raca got the Demon Deacons on the board with a spinning move to the rim before laying it in. It made it a 7-2 game at the 4:59 mark.
• Raca continued to provide the bulk of the offense in the first quarter, finishing with six of Wake Forest's 10 first quarter points. After 10 minutes of play, the Demon Deacons trailed 22-10.
• The Belgrade, Serbia native continued to pour in the points for the Deacs in the second quarter, scoring 13 of Wake Forest's first 19 points in the game. Her layup at the 5:53 mark made it a 27-19 game.
• At the midway point of the game, the Demon Deacons trailed 42-25 with Raca leading all scorers. Meanwhile, Florida State knocked down 8-of-10 attempts from behind the arc with three Seminole players finishing the first half with multiple three-point makes.
• At the start of the second half, Wake worked their way to the rim and earned multiple trips to the free throw line. The Deacs knocked down all six of their attempts in the first four minutes. Olivia Summiel hit a pair at the 5:43 mark to make it a 50-33 contest.
• In all, the Demon Deacons made 10 trips to the charity stripe in the third quarter, hitting 9-of-10 attempts. Raca went a perfect 4-of-4 while Conti tallied three points at the line.
• Entering the fourth quarter, the Florida State lead increased to 62-40 and the Seminoles led by as much as 29 points in the fourth quarter.
• The two wins by the Demon Deacons are tied for the most in program history and this is their furthest run in the ACC Tournament since the tournament expanded to 15 teams.
