WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The first gameday of the 2020 season has finally arrived for the Wake Forest football team as it is ready to take on No. 1 Clemson on Saturday at Truist Field.
The Deacs are coming off an 8-5 campaign that saw them reach a program record fourth consecutive bowl game. This season the Demon Deacons start the season against an ACC team for the first time since Sept. 4, 2004.
Last season, Wake Forest finished the season with a program record six wins in Truist Field. This included victories over Duke, North Carolina and NC State to claim the eighth Big 4 Championship in school history.
Kickoff at Truist Field is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. (ET).
Before the game, Wake Forest will host ESPN College GameDay for the first time in school history. The show start live from the 50-yard line of Truist Field at 9 a.m. (ET).
