WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- Screamin' Demons, we are excited to welcome you back to Truist Field at Wake Forest, starting on Oct. 2.

Last season, you helped provide the winning edge as your Demon Deacons earned a program record six home victories. When you return to Truist Field this season, you will see a variety of changes to provide added safety.

Wake Forest will be transitioning to a game-by-game ticket allocation system for students for the 2020 season, utilizing a new weighted student ticket lottery, and mobile ticket delivery.

Safety Measures

In accordance with local and CDC guidelines, the student section will be organized in a socially distanced manner this season, and each student receiving a ticket will be assigned a specific seat location. Masks will be required at all times while in and around Truist Field.

The number of tickets available to students for each game will be allocated in accordance with the health and safety guidelines and regulations of Winston-Salem, Forsyth County, and the state of North Carolina.

Parking will be made available to students with tickets in a parking lot near the stadium. Transportation for students who do not have vehicles will be available on a case by case basis. Students who need transportation should email rewards@wfu.edu.  Tailgating will not be permitted this season at Truist Field or in parking lots around the stadium.

In order to manage this new student ticketing process, Wake Forest introduced a dedicated student rewards program, Screamin' Demon Rewards, in August. This program will reward the most Dedicated Deacs for their attendance at athletic and campus events.

Tickets will be allocated through this new platform via a weighted student ticket lottery, which will be operated on a game-to-game basis. In order to have access to the lottery, students must register for the new Screamin' Demon Rewards program and download the dedicated app.

This process will provide flexibility to maximize the number of tickets available to students for each game as conditions and capacity limits change.

The number of entries each student will receive upon entering the lottery will be equal to the total number of points earned through Screamin' Demon Rewards. Prior to the first football lottery, students will receive bonus points based upon their classification as well as retroactive points for games attended at Truist Field during the 2019 season. This will provide initial weighted priority towards those who have historically attended more games. In order to request retroactive points, students should fill out the form located in the FAQ page within the app.

After entering a lottery, students will have the opportunity to proceed in the lottery as individuals for individual socially-distanced seats, or link up into pairs for seat selection that would be seated together. Once linked up as a pair, the students will win or lose the lottery as a pair.

Student Ticket Lottery Timeline

Campbell Game Week Timeline

Monday - Lottery is launched in the Screamin' Deacon Rewards app. Simply enter the lottery by clicking the "Lotteries" tab at the bottom of the SDR app, and then click "Enter Lottery" under the appropriate event.

Students will receive the same number of entries as the number of points within their account.

Any time after the student has entered the lottery on Monday, but before the drawing on Wednesday, they may select another student who they would like to be paired with for assigned seating. The other person in the pair must activate their own SDR account, login, and accept the pairing request in their app. Once accepted, they become eligible as a pair for the drawing - both winning or both losing.

Wednesday - At 9 a.m., the digital drawing is held and winning students are awarded tickets. Those winning students will receive a notification within the platform and via email. They will be provided the option to accept, decline, or transfer their ticket.

  • Should they choose to transfer their ticket, they may send it to any other student who did not receive a ticket via the lottery. That student would then be able to accept the ticket.

  • Should they choose to decline, a ticket will be awarded to the next student listed on the lottery standby list (this number is visible to each student who has entered the lottery)

  • Should they choose to accept, they will receive a digital ticket to use to enter Truist Field.

Thursday - Transfer/cancel period concludes 36 hours prior to kickoff. Any student who wins a ticket and has not taken action on it yet will have that ticket automatically accepted.

Following the end of the transfer/cancel period, each student who won the lottery, but did not transfer or cancel their ticket, will receive a digital ticket via email. Those tickets will list a physical seat location within Truist Field. This digital ticket should be downloaded to the student's mobile device in advance of the game and will be scanned for entry at Gate Four. At the gate, the student will need to also present their Wake Forest student ID for entry.

Friday  - Students should make sure they have their digital ticket on their mobile device, as well as their ID card in hand to be ready to enter via Gate Four at 5:30 p.m.

Students who attend the game will receive additional points for entering the stadium at least 30-minutes prior to kickoff, as well as an additional 100 bonus points for staying through the conclusion of the game. The more points earned, the higher the chance of earning tickets through lotteries. These points will all be earned simply by opening the SDR app while on site.

To maximize the number of tickets available with the number of students in attendance, if a student has accepted their ticket and then chooses not to attend the game, they will receive a 300-point deduction. This will decrease their odds of getting tickets to a future game for another sport. They will also not be permitted to enter a student ticket lottery for the remainder of the football season.
