Wake Forest Women’s Tennis Announces 2021 Spring Schedule

The Deacs are set to open the season on Monday afternoon against Charlotte.
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- The Wake Forest women's tennis team announced their 2021 spring schedule on Thursday.
The Deacs, who open the season as No. 16 in the country, start on Monday with Charlotte with first serve scheduled for 1 p.m. at Wake Forest Tennis Center.
One week later Wake Forest travels to NC State for ITA Kickoff Weekend with the Demon Deacons first match scheduled against UCF.
The Deacs schedule features matchups against seven preseason top-25 opponents.
"We are so excited to have the opportunity to take the court again. The ACC schedule will present a tremendous challenge, and our early season schedule is designed to be challenging and to get us ready for the conference play. Although this will be our first team competition since March, I am proud of how our student-athletes have been preparing for the upcoming season dating back to the fall. We've been doing a great job of practicing hard so we'll hopefully be ready to go," Coach Wyshner said.
Wake Forest Athletics will continue to follow the state's guidance to preserve the safety of its student-athletes, coaches, staff and the entire University and Winston-Salem community. At this time, there will be no fans permitted at the Indoor Tennis Center.
Atlantic Coast Conference play is scheduled to begin on Feb. 20 when the Deacs host NC State.
The ACC Championships will be held this year at the Rome Tennis Center at Berry College in Rome, Ga., from April 21-25.
