The pairing receives recognition prior to the upcoming 2021 campaign.

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Wake Forest baseball senior Bobby Seymour and junior Ryan Cusick landed on Perfect Game's 2021 Preseason All-American list ahead of this year's collegiate baseball season.

Bobby Seymour- First Team (First Baseman)

Seymour was selected as a First Team first baseman after receiving consensus Preseason All-American accolades prior to last year's shortened season. As a sophomore in 2019, the St. John, Ind. native became the seventh ACC Player of the Year in Wake Forest history after a monster offensive season, batting .377 with 20 doubles, nine homers and an NCAA-leading 92 RBIs.

After his 2019 campaign, the senior garnered All-American accolades from Collegiate Baseball, Perfect Game, American Baseball Coaches Association and D1Baseball.

For his career, Seymour has appeared in 129 career games and holds a .328 batting average with 35 doubles, 17 homers and 135 RBIs.

"All Seymour has done since he got to campus is rake and we fully expect him to do so in 2021. The numbers were a bit down in the abbreviated 2020 campaign but that doesn't diminish the 2019 campaign that saw him slash .377/.439/.576 along with nine home runs. He's a monster of a physical prospect with a 6-foot-4, 250-pound frame and he uses that strength and physicality to tap into some serious raw power. The Demon Deacons are expected to bring back one of the more experienced lineups in the ACC and there's good reason to believe that Seymour is going to be a massive part of that lineup." - Vincent Cervino (Perfect Game)

Ryan Cusick- Third Team (Pitcher)

Cusick, a Third Team honoree, heads into his junior season after striking out 43 batters (tied for seventh in the nation) and setting a new program record with 17.3 strikeouts per nine innings (sixth nationally) in 22.1 innings during last year's shortened season. He would strike out at least nine batters in each of his four starts.

In his first collegiate season in 2019, Cusick posted the second-most wins as a freshman with a team-high seven wins, including a perfect 4-0 record in ACC play. When Cusick started on the mound, the Deacs recorded a 10-2 mark.
