#ProDeacs: NBA 2020-21 Update

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Six former Wake Forest men's basketball players have taken to the NBA hardwood during the first two weeks of the new season.
Find out below how all the #ProDeacs have fared to begin the 2020-21 campaign.
John Collins- Atlanta Hawks (4th season): Collins has gotten off to the best stretch of his career to begin his fourth season with the Atlanta Hawks, who holds a 4-3 record. The 19th pick in the 2017 NBA draft has started and scored double-digits in all 7 games to start of 2020-21.
Against the Nets on Dec. 30, Collins recorded 30 points and 10 rebounds, his sixth-career 30-and-10 game.
The Hawks will play a home-and-home with the Hornets on Wednesday and Saturday night to finish off the week.

James Johnson- Dallas Mavericks (12th season): After being dealt in a three-team trade this offseason, Johnson has emerged as an enforcer that the Mavericks have been missing in recent years. The 14-year vet has appeared in every game to begin the 2020-21 campaign.

Chris Paul- Phoenix Suns (16th season): Paul has made his presence felt in just his first seven games in a Suns uniform, helping the team get out to one of their best starts in franchise history at 5-2. The team is positioned at the top of the Western Conference, currently holding second-place.
He has made his teammates around him better, registering 8.3 assists per game. Through the first four contests of the season, "The Point God" dished out 38 assists, the most ever by a member of the franchise.
In his team's last win at Denver on New Year's Day, Paul sealed a 106-103 victory with this clutch pull-up jumper.

Ish Smith- Washington Wizards (11th season): Smith has taken the hardwood in all seven of Washington's games, averaging 17.4 minutes per night off the bench. In 617 career games, Smith holds averages of 7.8 points, 3.9 assists and 2.5 rebounds per game.

Jeff Teague- Boston Celtics (12th season): Through his first seven games for Boston, Teague has made one start in the absence of Kemba Walker and is currently tied for his career-high with 1.7 steals per game.
Teague was inactive in Boston's previous game on Jan. 4 against Toronto due to an ankle injury.

Al-Farouq Aminu- Orlando Magic (11th season): After averaging 4.3 points, 4.8 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game in his first season in Orlando in 2019-20, Aminu hasn't been active yet this year due to a knee injury.
