Demon Deacons are 4-1-0 all-time when facing Pitt, riding a three-match win streak.
PITTSBURGH, PA. -- Wake Forest women's soccer heads up to Pennsylvania Sunday afternoon for its sixth road trip of the season, as it will take on Pittsburgh at Ambrose Urbanic Field for a 1 p.m. matchup that will be broadcast on ACCNX.
Wake Forest brings a 13-3-0 record into another ACC showdown and currently sits tied for fifth in the ACC standings with a 5-3-0 mark. Pitt enters the contest with a 10-6-0 overall record and holds the ninth spot in the conference standings at 3-5-0.
LAST TIME OUT
Senior Giovanna DeMarco's first goal of the season pushed Wake Forest past NC State to help pick up a crucial victory on Thursday night at Spry Stadium.
The Demon Deacons opened the scoring through DeMarco in the 38th minute as Sofia Rossi blew by a defender before dishing it to DeMarco.
The Gwynedd Valley, Pa. native turned with the ball and hit a powerful shot toward the bottom corner. The shot was too much for the NC State goalkeeper to handle and the ball trickled over the goal line.
