PITTSBURGH, PA. -- Wake Forest women's soccer heads up to Pennsylvania Sunday afternoon for its sixth road trip of the season, as it will take on Pittsburgh at Ambrose Urbanic Field for a 1 p.m. matchup that will be broadcast on ACCNX.
Wake Forest brings a 13-3-0 record into another ACC showdown and currently sits tied for fifth in the ACC standings with a 5-3-0 mark. Pitt enters the contest with a 10-6-0 overall record and holds the ninth spot in the conference standings at 3-5-0.
LAST TIME OUT
Senior Giovanna DeMarco's first goal of the season pushed Wake Forest past NC State to help pick up a crucial victory on Thursday night at Spry Stadium.
The Demon Deacons opened the scoring through DeMarco in the 38th minute as Sofia Rossi blew by a defender before dishing it to DeMarco.
The Gwynedd Valley, Pa. native turned with the ball and hit a powerful shot toward the bottom corner. The shot was too much for the NC State goalkeeper to handle and the ball trickled over the goal line.

The Deacs have recorded 10 shutouts this season, the most since 2017 when they managed 12. Through 15 games, the back line has limited opponents to a combined nine goals and 55 shots on goal. Wake Forest ranks 13th in the nation in goals-against average at .555.
