WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Wake Forest football returns to Truist Field for the first time since Oct. 2 in a Big Four matchup on Saturday, Oct. 30 at 4:00 p.m. against Duke.
Before the Deacs play their fifth conference game of the season, below are some numbers and notes on the game.
By the Numbers:
3- The Demon Deacons five consecutive bowl game appearances rank third in the ACC just trailing Clemson and Miami (FL) in the conference
34- The Demon Deacons 34 wins since the start of the 2017 season is second among all ACC teams and is the most among all four North Carolina teams
90.8- According to Pro Football Focus, Sam Hartman has graded out at a 90.8 clip this season. This is the 10th highest mark in the nation
43.1- Wake Forest is on pace to smash the school scoring record set last season, 36.0 points per game
10- Through seven games, 10 different Wake Forest defenders have forced turnovers including a team-high five from Traveon Redd and two from Caelen Carson.

PUTTING THE D IN DEACONS
SIX TURNOVERS VS FSU: The Demon Deacon defense forced six turnovers in the victory (three fumbles and three interceptions), the most in the Dave Clawson era. The previous high was five at Indiana on Sept. 24, 2016. Additionally, the six turnovers forced are the most forced by a FBS team in a single game this season. Additionally, the Deacs again rank among the best in turnover margin:

AMONG THE NATION'S BEST: In addition to turning the ball over the Demon Deacon defense also see themselves inside of the top-25 in a number of other categories: Sacks (14th, 3.14 per game), Passes Intercepted (21st, 8), TFL/G (11th, 6.7), Turnovers Gained (8th, 16), Fumble Recovered (9th, 8) and 4th Down Conversion Pct. Defense (18th, .333%).
FAST START
WE DID IT AGAIN: Wake Forest has now started its season 7-0 for the second time in program history (1944). Additionally, the Demon Deacons are off to a 4-0 start in ACC play for the first time in program history.
REMAINING UNBEATENS: The Demon Deacons are one of just nine remaining unbeaten schools in the country, one of five in the Power-5 and the only in the ACC.
QB1 CLIMBING THE CHARTS
300-PLUS: Sam Hartman threw for a career-high 458 yards on Saturday, his third 300-yard passing game of the season and the ninth of his career. Additionally, Hartman tossed five touchdown passes and is tied for third all-time in Wake Forest history with 52 career TD passes:

FINDING THE ENDZONE: Dating back to last season, Hartman has now thrown at least one touchdown pass in nine straight games. Over that stretch he has 28 touchdown passes to seven different receivers.
KICKING INTO HISTORY
Nick Sciba is on his way to becoming the most accurate kicker in NCAA history. During his time at Wake Forest, he is 69-of-76 (.905), the best mark for any kicker in NCAA and ACC history (min. 50 att).

Additionally, Sciba holds the school record with 369 points for his career, breaking the school record on his final kick of the Virginia game. He also is 11th in ACC history in points, six points away from 10th.

Through the first seven games of the season, A.T. Perry is on pace to potentially break the school record for touchdowns in a single season. He has totaled eight touchdown receptions. Additionally, he has a five-game streak of finding the endzone with seven scores over that period.

Additionally, Perry has totaled 600 yards (85.7 yd/g) this season ranking fifth in the ACC while his eight touchdowns has him tied for second in the conference and tied for eighth in program history. One more score would move him into the top five for a single season.

The Demon Deacons enter week seven of the college football season as one of just four FBS programs to score 30 or more points in every game this season.

Series History:
Saturday is the 101st meeting between both programs. Wake Forest holds a mark of 18-5 since 2000, winning three of the last four matchups.
Head coach Dave Clawson looks to earn his fourth win against the Blue Devils to improve his record to 4-3. With a win, Clawson would also earn his 80th career head coaching win.
Currently, Wake Forest is on a two-game win streak versus Duke and have outscored them by a 98-34 margin. 2018's meeting against Duke was Wake's largest victory against them in series history (59-7)
