Wake Forest Secured Eight Wins on Day Two of Gamecock Scramble

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Wake Forest men's tennis picked up five singles and three doubles matches on day two of the Gamecock Scramble, played at Carolina Tennis Center on Saturday afternoon.
The Demon Deacons made quick work of opponents from South Carolina, Texas A&M, Presbyterian College and Florida State on the second day of action.
Wake Forest boasted two ranked wins in three set battles. Taha Baadi took down No. 16 Connor Thomson of South Carolina in three sets, while Robert Macaig was victorious over No. 39 Raphael Lambling of South Carolina with a 2-6, 6-2, 6-4 win.
Siddhant Banthia, Matthew Thomson and Robert Macaig continue their perfect weekend in singles as they take down their opponents.
In doubles, Siddhant Banthia and Juan Lopez de Azcona upset No. 4 Connor Thomson and Daniel Rodrigues (South Carolina) 8-5 and picked up a win over Richard Thongoana and Andreja Petrovic (Florida State), 8-4. Robert Macaig and Ben Draper picked up the final win on the day over Dusan Milanovic and Max Benson (Presbyterian College), 8-6.
