Demon Deacons Set to Host Wake Forest Invitational

The event will run from Friday, Oct. 31 to Sunday, Nov. 2 at the Wake Forest Tennis Center.
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Continuing a strong fall slate, the Wake Forest men's tennis team is set to host the Wake Forest Invitational this weekend at the Wake Forest Tennis Center, with Ariel Zauber and Dominick Mosejczuk representing the Demon Deacons.
The tournament is slated to run from Friday, Oct. 31 to Sunday, Nov. 2. Action will begin at 9:30 a.m. each day. Results will be posted after each round here. Admission is free.

Last Time Out (ITA Carolina Regional)
Luca Pow highlighted an impressive showing for Wake Forest men's tennis at the 2025 ITA Carolina Regional Championships, advancing all the way to the singles final to secure an automatic berth in the 2025 NCAA Singles Championships, set for Nov. 18-23 at the USTA National Campus in Orlando, Florida.
Pow produced five consecutive victories to reach the championship match, earning straight-set wins over Ivan Dreycopp (Charlotte), Alex Degabriele (UNCW), Henrik Bladelius (Clemson) and No. 38 Roan Jones (North Carolina).
He dropped a set for the first time all weekend on Sunday afternoon, but battled back and earned a gritty three-set win over Veljko Krstic of Elon in the semifinals, before withdrawing from the final against Clemson's Romain Gales.
Fellow Deacs Kacper Szymkowiak and Andrew Delgado also made deep runs, reaching the semifinals and quarterfinals, respectively.
Szymkowiak posted four straight wins before falling to Gales (4-6, 1-6), while Delgado picked up three wins in straight sets prior to his quarterfinal exit.
Joaquin Guilleme, Cornelius Shalmi, Dominick Mosejczuk, and Ariel Zauber each contributed strong singles results, with several earning main-draw victories.
In doubles, the top-seeded pair of Pow and Szymkowiak advanced to the Round of 16 along with Guilleme and Zauber before both duos bowed out.
Looking Ahead
Wake Forest will continue fall play at the ITA East Sectional in Chapel Hill, N.C. from Nov. 6-9 as it looks to earn more bids into the NCAA Singles and Doubles Championships
