The Demon Deacons have extended their streak of NCAA Tournament appearances to 11-straight as Wake Forest will host Mercer in the first round.

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- For the 11th-straight season and 25th time overall in program history, Wake Forest men's soccer has earned a berth in the NCAA Men's Soccer Championship, as the Demon Deacons will begin this year's tournament hosting a first round matchup with Mercer, the Southern Conference Tournament champions.

The match will take place on Thursday, Nov. 18 at 6 p.m. at Spry Stadium. This will be the first time Wake Forest has faced Mercer.

Wake Forest holds the longest NCAA Tournament consecutive appearances streak for ACC schools at 11, six more than any other conference school. The 11 consecutive appearances is also tied for the second-longest streak nationally and Wake Forest is one of only three schools to make the NCAA Tournament each of the last seven seasons.

With the first round matchup taking place at Spry Stadium, the Demon Deacons will be making their 43rd appearance in front of the home fans in NCAA Tournament action.

Secure your spot for Thursday's NCAA Tournament match in Winston-Salem now, as tickets are available for purchase here or by calling the Wake Forest Ticket Office at 336-758-3322 with reserved chairbacks at $15, bleacher general admission at $10 for adults and $5 for 12 and under. The Demon Deacons are currently 11-6-1 on the season, highlighted by victories over top-five opponents in Pitt and Virginia Tech and the Patriot League champions Loyola (Md.) in a 7-0 victory. They also earned a road victory over North Carolina in October, one of three RPI top-25 wins for Wake Forest.

Wake Forest has a program record of 35-20-4 in NCAA Tournament action and has earned six College Cup appearances while winning the 2007 National Championship.

Wake Forest is 14-6-0 in NCAA Tournament play under head coach Bobby Muuss with two trips to the College Cup (2016 and 2019).

The Demon Deacons this season were led by four All-ACC selections including first-team honoree Kyle Holcomb. The senior from San Marcos, Calif., leads the team this season with 22 points and nine goals. His 30 career goals currently ranks him tied for the eighth-most in program history with former MAC Hermann Trophy winner and Wake Forest Sports Hall of Famer Marcus Tracy.

Nico Benalcazar, Omar Hernandez and Jake Swallen all earned All-ACC third-team honors as well while Trace Alphin earned ACC Co-Defensive Player of the Week honors to conclude the regular season.
