Demon Deacons Set to Host Northwestern in ACC/BIG Ten Challenge

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The Wake Forest men's basketball team will face Northwestern as part of the ACC/BIG Ten Challenge on Tuesday night inside Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum.
The Demon Deacons (6-1) are coming off a second-place finish in the Emerald Coast Classic after defeating Oregon State in the second round and falling to LSU in the championship.
Alondes Williams (19.0 ppg, 5.5 rpg, 3.5 apg) and Daivien Williamson (17 ppg) were both named to the All-Tournament team for their performances. Williams scored seven of the Deacs' 11 points in overtime versus Oregon State, while Williamson poured in 19 points in the second half against LSU.
At least three players have scored in double-digits in all seven games to start the season, highlighted by a trio of players averaging double-digit points per game: Alondes Williams (19.3), Daivien Williamson (15.6) and Jake LaRavia (14.7).
Wake Forest currently boasts the second-best record in the Challenge's history, at 12-6 (.667). Additionally, the Deacs are 7-2 at home in the Challenge.
The Wildcats (5-1) are coming off a 78-62 victory over Georgia last Tuesday and are led by ninth-year coach Chris Collins. Collins' team is coming off a 9-15 finish last season, and currently rank fifth in the country in assists at 20.2 per game.
Tipoff in LJVM is scheduled for 9:00 p.m. ET and the game will air live on ESPNU.

● 82.7 points per game - 32nd in the country and third in the ACC
● 49.2 percent from the field - 30th in the country and third in the ACC
● 9.6 steals per game - 39th in the country and second in the ACC
Additionally, several players currently rank at the top of the conference leaderboards:
● Jake LaRavia: 65 percent from the field ranks second; 2.6 steals per game ranks third
● Alondes Williams: 19.3 points per game ranks third
● Daivien Williamson: 96.7 percent FT ranks first in the ACC and eighth in the country
