This is the 7th meeting between Wake Forest and Florida State at the ACC Tournament, the Seminoles lead the series 5-1, and five of those six matches have gone to penalty kicks.
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- No. 25 Wake Forest's hunt for its second conference title in program history continues Friday night in the ACC Soccer Tournament semifinals, as the sixth-seeded Demon Deacons take on two-seeded No. 2 Florida State. Kickoff is scheduled for 8 p.m. ET at the WakeMed Sports Park in Cary, N.C.
Wake Forest enters the match fresh off upsetting three-seeded then-No. 2 Duke with a 2-1 win in the first round of the ACC Tournament in Durham on Sunday.
The Deacs and the Noles have not played each other this season. Wake Forest owns an 13-12-5 all-time advantage in the series, but Florida State has won three straight matches dating back to 2017. When meeting in the ACC tournament, Seminoles are 5-1 against the Demon Deacons, and five of those six matches have gone to penalty kicks.

The sixth-seeded Demon Deacons capitalized on an early first half goal and a Duke own goal to secure the highest ranked win in program history and advance to the semifinals for the first time since 2012. With the 2-1 victory over Duke, the Demon Deacons earned their first victory against the Blue Devils since 2013.
