Wake Forest Announces 2022 Schedule

The Demon Deacons will play in 24 home and nine road matches.
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Wake Forest men's tennis head coach Tony Bresky announced the 2022 schedule for the Demon Deacons Wednesday.
Wake Forest will host 24 matches and travel for nine in the spring. The Demon Deacons will also play in the ITA Kickoff Weekend with hopes to advance to ITA National Indoors, and will play in the ACC Championship in Rome, Georgia.
Wake Forest men's tennis looks to make its 21st NCAA Tournament bid in 2022 and the eighth consecutive under Bresky.
The January slate starts off with Wake Forest hosting Tennessee Tech in a doubleheader on Jan. 9, then on Jan. 15 the Deacs welcome Coastal Carolina, Davidson and Elon for a tripleheader. On the following Monday, Wake Forest will host Richmond and Gardner-Webb on Jan. 17.
To wrap up the nine-match homestand, Wake Forest will host Georgia Southern and Charlotte on Jan. 20. On Jan. 20, the Deacs will take its first road match to Tennessee to take on the Vols.
Wake Forest will be one of 15 host sites for the ITA Kickoff Weekend, playing Michigan on Jan. 28, then either Notre Dame or SMU on Jan. 29.
February starts off strong, hosting UCF and NC Wesleyan on Feb. 4. Next up on Feb. 6 are Georgia and NC Central. Wake Forest then heads to South Carolina on Feb. 10 then Ohio State on Feb. 13. ITA National Indoors is from Feb. 18-21 in Seattle, Wash. Wake Forest will look to advance to Indoors through ITA Kickoff Weekend. The Deacs finish off the month hosting the first ACC competition against Boston College before rounding out February against UNC-Greensboro on Feb. 26.
For March, the Deacs are on the road for the majority of the month. They travel to Florida to face Miami on March 4, then Florida State on Mar. 6. They return home to take on NC State on March 10. Wake Forest then travels to take on Virginia Tech on March 25 and Virginia on March 27.
ACC play ramps up in April, beginning on the road at Notre Dame on April 1 and at Louisville on April 3. Wake Forest will host Clemson and NC A&T on April 8, Georgia Tech and Cambell on April 10 and North Carolina and Pfeiffer on April 15.
The Deacs will host Duke and NC Wesleyan on April 17 to finish off the regular season, and then they head into the ACC Championships April 22-24 in Rome, Georgia.
