WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The Wake Forest men's basketball team will face Charlotte on Friday in the final game of the inaugural Basketball Hall of Fame Shootout inside Spectrum Center.

The Demon Deacons (10-1) are coming off a dramatic 77-70 victory over VMI at home on Tuesday in which the team overcame a 13-point halftime deficit for just the sixth time in program history.

Alondes Williams followed up his 16-point, 14-rebound, 10-assists triple-double against USC-Upstate last Saturday by setting a new career high of 36 points on 11-of-20 shooting from the field and a career-high 12 makes from the free throw line on 13 attempts against the Keydets.

The reigning ACC Player of the Week's 36 points are the most by a Demon Deacon since Justin Gray's 38 against Maryland in 2006, and Williams is the first Deac to log two 30-point games in the same season since Jeff Teague (2008-09).

The Milwaukee native is averaging 20.2 points, 7.7 rebounds, and 5.5 assists over his last six outings on 48.8 percent shooting from the field.

Wake Forest currently ranks second in the ACC and 28th in the country in both field goal percentage (0.485) and makes from the free throw line (15.6 per game). Additionally, the Deacs' 81.1 points per game ranks second in the ACC and 35th in the country.

The 49ers (5-4) have won two of their past three games and are coming off a 68-67 road victory over Valparaiso. Charlotte is led by fourth-year coach Ron Sanchez, whose squad is currently No. 1 in the country in free throw percentage, at 81.6 percent.

Niner guard Jahmir Young is coming off an All-CUSA First Team selection last season and is currently the second leading scorer in C-USA, with an average of 19.3 points per game.

Tipoff in Spectrum Center is scheduled for 9:00 p.m. ET and the game will air live on ACC Network.
