JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Wake Forest fans traveling to Jacksonville for the 2021 TaxSlayer Gator Bowl on Friday, Dec. 31 should be aware of game day initiatives and protocols in place at and around TIAA Bank Field. Kickoff is scheduled for 11 a.m. on ESPN.

Additionally, the free TaxSlayer Gator Bowl Pep Rally will take place at Jacksonville Beach at Seawalk Pavilion at 4 p.m. on Dec. 30 with the Wake Forest pregame kickoff party later that Thursday night from 5 - 8 p.m. at TIAA Bank Field. Tickets to the party at the Jaguars stadium can be purchased here. Those tickets include food and beverages, two beer/wine tickets, and our signature Gator Bowl swag item. Free convenient parking is adjacent to the stadium for the Wake Forest event.

Meanwhile, Wake Forest students are invited to cap off their TaxSlayer Gator Bowl Eve with an exclusive event hosted at Top Golf Jacksonville. The entire third floor rooftop terrace will be reserved for Wake Forest students with unlimited golf, music, as well as free food and beverages.  

Wake Forest is proud that 21 football student-athletes will head to the TaxSlayer Gator Bowl having already graduated from Wake Forest. 

Purchase Your Tickets Now
Tickets are on sale now for the 2021 TaxSlayer Gator Bowl. Fans can click here to purchase tickets and can contact the Wake Forest Ticket Office at 336-758-3322 ext. 1 to place their order. The Ticket Office is open 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday - Friday. Children two years and older will need a ticket to enter the stadium.

Exact price levels and sections are subject to availability. If the initial allotment of Wake Forest tickets sell out, Wake Forest may need to purchase additional tickets outside of its first block.

Student ticket packages are also now available and can be purchased by following the link provided to each student via email on December 8th. Two packages are available, an all-inclusive $60 option, Package A, which provides a game ticket, access to the Gator Bowl Eve Party, and access to Top Hats at Top Golf. The $25 Package B provides a game ticket and access to the Gator Bowl Eve Party. Student tickets must be purchased by Wednesday, Dec. 15 at 5 p.m.

Fan Information for Dec. 30

  • TaxSlayer Gator Bowl Pep Rally at Jacksonville Beach Seawalk Pavilion - 4 - 4:30 p.m.

    • Join your Demon Deacon spirit squads and the Spirit of the Old Gold and Black at the Gator Bowl's official pre-game pep rally at Jacksonville Beach Seawalk Pavilion. Admission is FREE.

  • TaxSlayer Gator Bowl Eve Party at TIAA Bank Field - 5-8 p.m. (Tickets Required)

    • DEACTOWN is coming to JAX! Be part of the official kick-off party before the TaxSlayer Gator Bowl. Get a sneak peak of the game venue: TIAA Bank Field where Wake Foresters will enjoy exclusive access to The Gallagher Club, a multi-level area with indoor and outdoor spaces. The fabulous views of Jacksonville and the stadium bowl will be coupled with music, food, drinks, and of course, WF-branded Gator Bowl swag! Games and a dash of school spirit led by our cheer and dance teams and Spirit of the Old Gold and Black will round out the experience. All in Deacon Nation are invited to join the party!

    • Tickets can be purchased here. Adult tickets are $50 and include food, sodas, water, two beer/wine tickets, and our signature Gator Bowl swag item. A cash bar with premium wines and liquor will also be available. A party ticket for children 12 and under is $20 and includes food and beverages. Free, convenient parking is adjacent to the stadium.

    • Due to the holidays, registration will close by Monday, December 20 (or when capacity is reached). Digital tickets will be sent by December 23 from tix@wfu.edu to the email address used to register. If you do not receive your digital ticket by email, please check your spam folder. Tickets will be scanned upon entry and guests will receive a wristband. In accordance with University guidelines, face coverings are encouraged indoors when not actively eating and drinking.

  • Top Hats at Top Golf Student Event - 8-11 p.m. (Tickets Required)

    • Wake Forest students are invited to cap off their TaxSlayer Gator Bowl Eve with a fun and exciting event hosted at Top Golf Jacksonville. This event provides exclusive access to the third floor rooftop terrace and bar, unlimited golf, music, as well as free food and drinks. Students who wish to participate in this experience should purchase "Package A" which includes admission to Friday's game, the Thursday Bowl Eve Party, and Top Hats at Top Golf. 

Gameday Fan Details

  • City of Jacksonville New Year's Eve Fireworks at Midnight (Along St. John River)

    • Say goodbye to 2021 and ring in the New Year with a spectacular fireworks display over the St. Johns River. Make your way down to the waterfront with friends or family before midnight to snag a great seat for the festivities. Fireworks will begin exactly at midnight. This event is FREE and open to the public. 

Additional Jacksonville & TaxSlayer Gator Bowl Events

  • Deck the Chairs - Nightly until Saturday, Jan. 1 (Jacksonville Beach Seawalk Pavilion) 5 p.m. – 1 a.m. Nightly with Holiday Light Shows at 6, 7, 8 and 9 p.m. on weekends.

  • Jacksonville Beach Deck The Chairs (JBDTC) is an annual lighted sculpture exhibit using lifeguard chairs. Marking its seventh year in community service, JBDTC gathers community to decorate and display the beach's lifeguard chairs during the month of December to promote local business, instill public pride, and share cultural diversity through creative expression. Free and open to the public, the light display aims to provide a wholesome and festive downtown during the holidays.

  • TaxSlayer Gator Bowl Charities New Year's Run - January 1 at 10 a.m. (Downtown Jacksonville)

    • This annual tradition starts at the VyStar Veterans Arena. The New Year's Run presented by Bank of America will benefit Gator Bowl Charities. All participants receive an official race shirt and all finishers receive a custom designed medal and one free mimosa.  Awards are given to the top overall and age group winners.  This event is an official event of the Jacksonville Grand Prix. Online registration closes the day prior to the beginning of packet pickup. After online registration closes, you can still register in any first place sports store or on race day.

Travel Information
Join the official Wake Forest Athletics Gator Bowl bus trip! Package includes transportation to and from Jacksonville, a ticket and transportation to the Gator Bowl Eve party on Dec. 30, transportation to the TaxSlayer Gator Bowl Game, and two nights at the Hyatt Regency Jacksonville Riverfront. It's likely that all hotel rooms will have two queen beds, though room type is not guaranteed. Please note that game tickets must be purchased separately.

Buses will depart from Bridger Field House at Truist Field at 7am on Thursday, Dec. 30 and return the morning of January 1. Registration closes Friday, December 17. CLICK HERE to register and purchase your ticket.

We ask that all individuals wear a mask on the bus while not actively eating or drinking. By registering for this trip, you agree to comply with these protocols. Additionally, face coverings are encouraged indoors at the Gator Bowl Eve Party when not actively eating or drinking.

Don't Miss Out! 2022 Football Season Ticket Deposits Available Now  

Thanks to the incredible leadership of Coach Dave Clawson and the hard work of his staff and student-athletes, along with the incredible fan support and energy every week inside Truist Field, Wake Forest is 15-2 at home since the start of the 2019 season. Additionally with a perfect 6-0 mark this season, the Deacs recorded their first undefeated home record since 1979. It marks just the third time since Wake Forest's 1970 ACC Championship team that the program has accomplished this feat. 

With the continued success of the football program, there is no better time to be at Truist Field! Season ticket deposits for the 2022 season are available now for $50.00. New or existing season ticket holders can visit GoDeacs.com/tickets to make their deposit online, or call the Wake Forest Ticket Office at 336-758-3322 ext. 1 during normal business hours. The Wake Forest Ticket Office is open 8:30am to 5:00pm Monday through Friday.

Ticket Deposit & Auto-Renewal Program
Fans may earn priority for the 2022 football season by placing a $50 deposit now towards their 2022 season tickets. Season ticket purchasers may also elect to take their commitment a step further by enrolling in the auto-renewal program. Fans who choose to opt-in to join the auto-renewal program by January 1, 2022 will receive a free DEACTOWN flag. 

Benefits of the auto-renewal program include:

  • Convenience - You'll no longer need to worry about missing renewal deadlines, as the automatic payment will ensure you get your tickets ordered on time.

  • Flexible payment options - You can choose to make a one-time auto-renewal payment or break it up into four installments (April, May, June, and July).

  • Avoid renewal reminders - You won't receive reminder emails, phone calls and mailings in regards to renewing your tickets while also having peace of mind knowing your order is all set.

  • Early renewal date - For general public season ticket holders, seat assignments are based upon the date the order is placed- secure the earliest order date year after year by joining the auto-renewal program.

Payment Plan Details
As in previous years, payment plans are available to Wake Forest football season ticket holders. Purchasers can opt in to a payment plan online or by speaking with a ticket office representative. The 2022 payment plan schedule for auto-renewal and traditional purchases are as follows:

- Auto-Renewal, One-Installment Group: Paid in full on April 15, 2022.

- Four-Installment Payment Plan (auto-renewal, or regular purchase) four equal payments charged on April 15, May 16, June 15, and July 15, 2022.

Ticket Purchase Assurance Plan
The Ticket Purchase Assurance Program will be back in 2022 to provide the Best Fan Experience in North Carolina for all fans. Ticket holders who purchased directly through Wake Forest will continue to have their tickets protected with the TPA program.

This peace-of-mind initiative allows fans the ability to exchange purchased tickets from a home contest they can no longer attend for any reason toward the purchase of tickets to another home game at Truist Field. Additionally, if for some reason any portion of the 2021 schedule does not take place or if capacity restrictions change throughout the season due to COVID-19 health and safety guidelines, ticket holders who purchased directly through Wake Forest will continue to have their tickets protected with the TPA program.
