Wake Forest Accepts Invitation for 2021 Emerald Coast Classic

The Demon Deacons will head to Florida for the Thanksgiving weekend event.
NICEVILLE, Fla. - Wake Forest will join top programs from Southeastern Conference (LSU), Big Ten (Penn State) and Pac 12 (Oregon State) to headline the field for the 2021 Emerald Coast Classic basketball tournament, presented by Global Sports.
The tournament will be played Thanksgiving weekend Nov. 26-27 at The Arena on the campus of Northwest Florida State College. The Wake Forest vs. Oregon State matchup will take place at 9:30 p.m. ET on Nov. 26 and air live on CBS Sports.
Head Coach Steve Forbes will return to his old stomping grounds, where he led Northwest Florida to a 62-6 record over two seasons as head coach of the Raiders from 2011-2013. Forbes is currently in his first season at the helm of the Demon Deacons.
The Demon Deacons have the opportunity to be the second consecutive, and third overall, ACC school to take home the title in the seventh installment of the tournament.
