Wake Forest Director of Track & Field announced the addition of Columbia transfer thrower, Jack Pihlkar.
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- The Wake Forest track and field team bolstered their throwing group with the addition of Columbia transfer Jack Pihlkar for the 2021-22 season.
Pihlkar, a East Northport, N.Y. native, is a Columbia school record holder in the weight throw and was the Ivy leader champion in that event one year ago at the league meet. Academically, Pihlkar was an economics major at Columbia. At Wake Forest, he plans to enroll in the Business Analytics Master's Program.
"I'm excited to welcome Jack to Wake Forest," Assistant Coach Collin Post said. "His accomplishments add both depth and experience to the throws group. I'm expecting him to make an immediate impact on both the ACC and at the national level."
