Demon Deacons Close Regular Season in Tallahassee

2/27/2021 9:38:00 AM | Women's Basketball

Wake Forest is looking for the first regular season sweep of the Seminoles since the 1996-97 season.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - The Wake Forest women's basketball is scheduled to close the regular season Sunday at Florida State in Tallahassee, Fla.

The Demon Deacons (11-10, 8-9 ACC) are in search of their ninth conference win, which would tie a program record and would mark the first time since the 2009-10 season Wake Forest will end Atlantic Coast Conference play with a .500 or better record.

The Seminoles (9-7, 8-7 ACC) hold a 7-1 record in home contests this season with their lone loss coming to Georgia Tech on Feb. 18. With a win over Florida State, the Demon Deacons would pass the Noles in the conference standings, heading into next week's ACC Tournament.

Tipoff for Sunday's game at Florida State is scheduled for Noon (ET) in Donald L. Tucker Civic Center. The game will air on RSN.

Fans can follow along via the Demon Deacons Twitter, Instagram and Facebook accounts (@WakeWBB).
