#ProDeacs: NBA 2020-21 Update

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Six former Wake Forest men's basketball players highlight former Deacs on NBA rosters.
Find out below how all the #ProDeacs have fared as the NBA season transitions into the month of February.
John Collins- Atlanta Hawks (4th season): Collins has seen an uptick in production as the fourth-year pro enters the month of February. The 19th pick in the 2017 NBA draft has started in all 20 games this season, scoring double-digits in all but two games.
Against Milwaukee on Jan. 24, Collins poured in his third 30-point game of the year on 12-of-19 shooting, including a career-high six triples. He also grabbed seven rebounds.
Over his last three games, Collins is averaging 20.0 points and 7.7 boards.
The Hawks currently hold a record of 10-10 as the team will play three home games to close out the week.

James Johnson- Dallas Mavericks (12th season): After being dealt in a three-team trade this offseason, Johnson has appeared in all 21 games for the Dallas Mavericks, bringing a new sense of toughness that the franchise has been lacking in recent seasons.
The 12-year vet finished with a season-high 16 points against Denver on Jan. 25, the most points he has recorded since March 10 when he also tallied 16 points against Houston.
The Mavericks will now play three games in four days, including a home-and-home with Golden State, to finish out the week.

Chris Paul- Phoenix Suns (16th season): Paul continues to lead the Suns both on and off the court in his first season with the franchise. Currently, Phoenix is on a three-game winning streak and holds an overall mark of 11-8, good for fifth in the Western Conference.
The Point God joined some elite company on Jan. 20, becoming just the third player (John Stockton and Oscar Robertson) in NBA history with at least 19,000 points and 9,700 assists.
Paul amassed at least 30 points in two of the Suns' previous four games, including season-high of 34 versus the Mavericks on Feb.1. This marks the first time since the 2018 that Paul reached this feat.

Ish Smith- Washington Wizards (11th season): Smith has appeared in 13 games off the bench for Washington this season.
Smith has logged at least 20 minutes in his last four games. On Jan. 31, the veteran point guard recorded a season-high 13 points on six-of-nine shooting and dished out seven assists in Washington's victory over Brooklyn.

Jeff Teague- Boston Celtics (12th season): In his first season as a member of the Celtics, Teague has appeared in 17 games, including two starts. The Celtics sit in fourth place in the Eastern Conference with a record of 11-8.
Boston has four games left on its five-game West Coast trip, including contests versus the Kings, Clippers, Suns and Jazz. The team returns home on Feb. 11 against the Raptors.

Al-Farouq Aminu- Orlando Magic (11th season): Aminu has yet to take the court through the first few months of the season due to a knee injury as the Magic currently hold a 8-14 record.
