The senior from Belgrade, Serbia native currently ranks top five in scoring and rebounding in the Atlantic Coast Conference.
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- Wake Forest women's basketball senior forward Ivana Raca was named a top-10 finalist for the Cheryl Miller Award, as announced by the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame on Wednesday afternoon.
The award is given to the top small forward in college basketball.
The Belgrade, Serbia native currently ranks in the top five in scoring and rebounding in the Atlantic Coast Conference.
Raca has five double-double performances this season with the Demon Deacons holding a 4-1 record in those games. This included a 17-point and career-high 19-rebound performance in a win at Virginia Tech in January. The 19 rebounds are tied for seventh most in program history and are only three off the program record.
The senior has gone for 20-plus points in five games this season including a 23-point performance in the Deacs' victory over No. 24 Missouri State during the opening weekend of the season.
Her 16.7 points per game average has helped her cement her place in the Wake Forest record book, rising to 12th in program history. Additionally in her four seasons in Winston-Salem, she has pulled down 631 career rebounds, which currently leaves her 19 boards away from entering the top 10 in Wake Forest history.
