Deacs Sit Third with Nine Holes Left to Play
3/2/2021 6:54:00 PM | Women's Golf
Three Wake Forest women’s golfers sit inside the top 15.
Blythewood, S.C. - The Wake Forest women's golf team is in contention for the title halfway through the final round.
After Monday's first round, the schedule of play was adjusted due to weather, resulting in continuous play after today's second round to get as many holes in as possible before weather hits the area early Wednesday morning. The remaining holes of the final round will be played Wednesday after weather passes, tentatively at 11:30 a.m. ET.
The Deacs currently sit in third, a four-spot improvement after the first round, and just seven strokes off the lead. Sophomore Lauren Walsh leads the way for Wake Forest as the only Deac without a bogey halfway through the final round. Sophomore Rachel Kuehn and freshman Mimi Rhodes are playing steady for the Deacs as both are just one over par through nine and eight holes, respectively.
