Squire Repeats as ACC Player of the Week

The sophomore defeated four-straight ranked opponents.
GREENSBORO, N.C. – In back-to-back weeks, Wake Forest men's tennis sophomore Henri Squire has been named the ACC Men's Tennis Singles Player of the Week announced Tuesday by the Atlantic Coast Conference.
Squire helped lead the Demon Deacons to three-straight victories over the weekend. The Dusseldorf, Germany native, was the first Deac off the court in singles at No. 17 Georgia as he defeated No. 9-ranked Trent Bryde 6-4, 6-2 on court one en route to a Deacs' 4-3 win of the Bulldogs. The sophomore has won four-straight over ranked opponents.
On Sunday, Squire picked up another win over Ivan Mitric of Furman on the top singles court.
Squire is the first Demon Deacon to be named the ACC Men's Tennis Singles Player of the Week in consecutive weeks since Borna Gojo on March 26, 2019 and April 2, 2019. This is Squire's third ACC honor in two weeks.
