Second Round Propels Demon Deacons on Day Two of Calusa Cup

Three Demon Deacons remain in the Top 25.
NAPLES, Fla. - The Wake Forest men's golf team moved up three spots on the leaderboard after the second round of the Calusa Cup.
Sophomore Mark Power led the charge for the Deacs, carding a team-low 70 in his second round. Three birdies in a row on his first nine and three on his second nine lifted him to T12 on the individual leaderboard.
Freshman Michael Brennan also jumped to T12 on the leaderboard after carding a 71 on his second 18. Two birdies on his first nine and three on his second helped his jump up the board.
Junior Alex Fitzpatrick started and finished his round on a high note, with a birdie on his first hole of the day and an eagle on his last hole of the day. His second-round scorecard of 73 helped push him five spots up the leaderboard to T20 entering the final day.
Senior Parker Gillam improved from his first-round score by three strokes to move up to T31. Freshman BJ Rogillio currently sits 40th on the individual leaderboard.
Tee times for the final round will begin at 7:40 a.m. ET on Tuesday.
