WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The Wake Forest volleyball program has announced the addition of grad transfer Kamryn Malloy to the roster for the fall of 2021. The outside hitter from Roselle, Illinois, played three seasons at Indiana from 2017-2019.
"The first time I talked with Kamryn, her personality and love for the game jumped through the phone. She is bright, funny, a natural leader, and one talented volleyball player. She is going to be an amazing addition to our Wake Forest family," said head coach Randi Smart.
During her junior season in 2019, Malloy played in 32 matches for the Hoosiers. She led the team in aces with 33 and contributed 164 kills and 275 digs. She had 10 matches with double-digit digs, including a career-high of 18 digs in the Hoosiers win against Michigan and against Purdue. She recorded a career-high 19 kills and eight digs in her team's win over Iowa. Malloy earned a spot in the record books with six aces in a win at Rutgers, which represents a tie for the second-most in a four-set match in program history. She also earned Academic All-Big Ten honors.
In her freshman season, Malloy contributed in 26 matches and 71 sets, finishing the season with 136 kills, 91 digs and 14 blocks.
