Three Deacons Achieved ITA Scholar-Athlete Recognition

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Three Demon Deacons – Adam Ambrozy, Juan Lopez de Azcona and Jack Parry – have been named to the 2021 Division I Men ITA Scholar-Athletes as announced by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) on Monday.
Graduate senior Adam Ambrozy finished the season with 11 straight wins and played at every position in the lineup besides the No. 1 position, he recorded his most wins at the No. 5 spot with a 5-1 record. The graduate senior recorded only one loss at the beginning of the season.
Ambrozy, Azcona and Parry achieved ITA Scholar-Athlete distinction for the first time in their career.
The ITA All-Academic Scholar award is given to student-athletes who have a grade point average of at least a 3.50 (on a 4.00 scale).
