Demon Deacons Set to Host Loyola-Maryland

Wake Forest will look to stay perfect in non-conference, hosting the Greyhounds at Spry Stadium.
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- Wake Forest's women's soccer team will look to stay perfect on Thursday night when the Demon Deacons host Loyola-Maryland at Spry Stadium.
Thursday's match will be streamed online via ACCNX, available at WatchESPN.com and the ESPN app. Live stats will also be provided by StatBroadcast, and fans can follow @WakeWSoccer on Twitter and Instagram for live match updates.
SENIOR NIGHT
Prior to kick, Wake Forest will honor redshirt senior Hulda Arnarsdottir with a special presentation. Arnarsdottir appeared in 42 games with 25 starts over her four seasons with the Demon Deacons, collecting 25 points, 11 goals along with three assists.
Additionally, she has accumulated over 2,500 minutes of action.
WAKE FOR WOMEN TAILGATE
In celebration of 50 Years of Women in Sports at Wake Forest, Presented by Blue Cross NC, the Women's Center is partnering with Athletics to host pre-event tailgates with free food, music, activities, and tee shirts before Thursday's match vs Loyola-Maryland, starting at 6 p.m. on the north side of the stadium near Polo Road.

For fans planning to attend, note that Wake Forest will have giveaways at the gate and will be giving out free women's soccer posters while supplies last.
The Best Fan Experience in North Carolina will have a photo backdrop to share the game day experience on social media. Tag @WakeWSoccer.
FAN INFORMATION
A number of new fan experience enhancements are planned for the 2021 season. This includes expanded food and beverage options, including availability on Walt Chyzowich Alumni Hill, an enhanced in-game experience, featuring an expanded video board production with additional cameras, replay, and fan-engaging elements, as well as new immersive experiences to promote the unique culture that is known around professional and collegiate soccer.
Parking is encouraged in lots A, B, Q, W1 & W2. A complete parking map of campus is here.
Gates open at 6 p.m., or one hour prior to kickoff for all future home matches.
Wake Forest Athletics is committed to providing the Best Fan Experience in North Carolina within a safe and fan-friendly environment. A complete list of prohibited items for Spry Stadium and Chyzowych Hill is located here, which includes metal or hard-framed chairbacks/seat cushions (soft, non-metal chairbacks are allowed). Additionally, all animals are also prohibited (excluding service animals).

LAST TIME OUT
Four different Demon Deacons found the back of the net as Wake Forest grabbed a 5-0 win over Youngstown State Penguins.
The Deacs have yet to concede a goal this season as they hold a four-game shutout streak, during which they have remained unbeaten. Dating back to last season, Wake Forest has gone 385 minutes without conceding a goal.
The Deacs have outscored their opponents, 11-0.
SMART MAKES HISTORY
Shayla Smart tallied the game-winning score as the Demon Deacons earned their 300th program win with a 1-0 shutout victory over UIC in the home opener at Spry Stadium.
NEW YEAR, NEW TEAM
The Deacs return 20 letterwinners from last year's squad, highlighted by Ryanne Brown, Giovanna DeMarco, Sofia Rossi and ACC All-Freshman Team member Sophie Faircloth.
Wake Forest welcomes a signing class of 16 that was rated No. 37 in the country and No. 7 in the ACC by TopDrawerSoccer.com. The Deacs added 15 true freshmen and one graduate transfer - Jenna Menta from Georgetown - that look to make an immediate impact this season.
SCOUTING THE GREYHOUNDS
Loyola-Maryland sits at 2-2-0 overall with wins over Marist and Iona and losses to No. 10 Clemson and Princeton.
The Greyhounds surrendered seven goals through four games. Loyola (Md.) is coached by Joe Malla.
