Demon Deacons Set for Matchup at Georgia Tech

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The Wake Forest men's basketball team is heading to Atlanta for a Wednesday evening matchup against Georgia Tech inside Hank McCamish Pavilion.
The Demon Deacons (14-4, 4-3) head to Atlanta fresh off a conference road win at Virginia on Saturday, which was a 63-55 victory in John Paul Jones Arena.
Alondes Williams continued his double-digit scoring streak in Charlottesville, as the graduate finished with 14 points, eight rebounds, and four assists. 12 of Williams' 14 points and all four of his assists came in the second half. The Milwaukee native is the only player in college basketball averaging at least 20 points (20.3), 4.5 assists (4.9) and 5.0 rebounds (6.8).
Jake LaRavia has scored in double-figures in all seven of the Deacs' ACC games this season following his 15-point outing against the Cavaliers. LaRavia is currently averaging 15.3 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 3.3 assists on 53.8 percent shooting against conference foes.
The Williams/LaRavia duo is averaging a combined 35.1 points per game this season and is the top scoring tandem in the ACC, just ahead of Georgia Tech's Michael Devoe and Jordan Usher (34.6 points).
The Yellow Jackets (7-9, 1-5) are coming off an 88-65 defeat at the hands of North Carolina on Saturday and are led by sixth-year head coach Josh Pastner and senior guard Michael Devoe, who is the third leading scorer in the ACC at 19.3 points per game.
Georgia Tech is currently shooting at a 44 percent clip from the field and the Demon Deacon defense has held four of it's seven conference opponents to below 40-percent shooting this season.
Tipoff inside McCamish Pavilion is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET and the game will air live on ESPNU.
