Sciba Breaks NCAA Record for Field Goal Percentage

Over the course of four seasons at Wake Forest, Nick Sciba converted on 80-of-89 field goals or an NCAA record 89.9 percent.
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Wake Forest football kicker officially set the NCAA record for career field goal percentage, ending his career with a 89.9 percent to break the 11-year old record.
The previous record was held by Alex Henery of Nebraska (2007-10) who finished his career 68-of-76 or 89.5 percent.
To qualify to be the NCAA record holder for field goal percentage, a student-athlete must have a minimum of 1.2 field goals made per game and make a minimum of 30 career field goals over the course of their career. Sciba finished his career 80-of-89 on field goal attempts while averaging 1.67 field goals made over the course of his Demon Deacon career.

Sciba also finished his career with 433 points. His point total is a school record and ranks third all-time in ACC history. He also holds the school record for field goals made with 80 and is tied for 10th in NCAA history. Sciba was the quickest player in NCAA history to make it to the top 10 in field goal makes, the previous was Jeff Jaeger of Washington (1983-86) with 99 attempts.
