Four Deacons Named to All-ACC Academic Team

For the first time since 2011, four Deacons were named to the All-ACC Academic team.
GREENSBORO, N.C. - Four Demon Deacons were named to the All-ACC Academic Team, as announced by the league on Tuesday morning.
Kamryn Malloy, Andrea Fuentes, Ashley Slater and Kalani Whillock all received the honor due to a combination of success in the classroom as well as helping the volleyball team secure the program's first winning season since 2010.
This is the first time since 2011 that four or more Demon Deacons have been named to the All-ACC Academic Team in the same year.
Additionally, this is the second consecutive year that Slater was named to the list. This is the first time Malloy, Fuentes and Whillock garnered an ACC academic honor.
Both Malloy and Fuentes were previously named Conference All-Academic team members at their previous institutions.
Academic requirements for selection to the All-ACC Academic Team are a 3.0 grade point average for the previous semester and a 3.0 cumulative average during one's academic career. Athletic achievements during the most recent season are also considered in selecting the All-ACC Academic Team.

- Led the team with 35 service aces

- Played in 102 sets during the season
- Second on the team with 329.0 points
- Recorded 289 kills on the season
Kalani Whillock, Fr., DS/L, Undeclared
- Played in 103 sets on the season
- Led the ACC with 4.19 digs per set
