Wake Forest Returning Home to Face Miami Sunday

The Demon Deacons have never lost to the Hurricanes in Winston-Salem, boasting a 10-0-0 record.

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The Wake Forest women's soccer team will return home to face ACC foe Miami Sunday at Spry Stadium.
 
Kick-off is slated for 1 p.m., and the match will be broadcasted on ACC Network Extra.

Gates open one hour prior to kickoff for all home matches.

New to the ticketing menu this year are five and 10 game FLEX options, giving fans maximum flexibility when choosing which home games to attend. FLEX season ticket members will simply open their digital FLEX account, and add or remove games as they decide which dates they are available to attend. Members may even use multiple admissions for a single game to bring a friend, family member or guest with them. If more FLEX tickets are needed, additional admissions may be purchased through the Wake Forest Ticket Office. FLEX admissions are able to be used for redemption at both men's and women's soccer games.

The Matchup
  • Coming off a 2-1 loss to No. 7 Duke, Wake Forest will return home to face Miami Sunday.

  • Nearly six minutes later, DeMarco had an opportunity to even the ledger when she sent a header past several Duke defenders, but her attempt ricocheted off the crossbar.
  • Despite entering the halftime break facing a 2-1 deficit, the Demon Deacons continued to pressure Duke's backline in the second half but were unable to find the net.
  • Goalkeeper Kaitlyn Parks tallied four saves in goal for the Demon Deacons.
 
Scouting the Hurricanes
  • Miami's victory over Virginia Tech snapped a five-game losing streak for the Hurricanes.
  • With their victory over the Hokies, the Hurricanes collected their first win over a top-25 team since Oct. 24, 2019.
  • Goalkeeper Melissa Dagenais opened the 2022 season without conceding a goal across the first 419 minutes. Dagenais paces the ACC in saves (52) and saves per game (4.7).
