
Lanckohr, Caron Named NFHCA All-Americans

Meike Lanckohr, who landed on the first team, became just the fifth Demon Deacon since at least 2000 to receive three All-America honors throughout their collegiate career, while Sky Caron received national recognition for the first time of her career.
BROCKPORT, N.Y. – Meike Lanckohr and Sky Caron were named National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division I All-Americans, as the organization announced on Tuesday.
Lanckohr, who landed on the first team, became just the fifth Demon Deacon since at least 2000 to receive three All-America honors throughout their collegiate career (Anna Kozniuk- 2011-14, Lauren Crandall-2004-06, Kelly Dostal- 2002-04 and Kelly Doton-2001-03).
In 2020-21, the Voerendaal, Netherlands native was selected to the third team before landing on the second team as a junior in 2021.
Caron became the 13th Demon Deacon to reach NFHCA All-American status in the last 10 years and the 48th All-American since 2000 as the Portsmouth, N.H. native garnered second team accolades.
The duo also received First Team All-ACC honors, a spot on the NFHCA All-South Region First Team and All-America honors from Synapse Sports.
Lanckohr and Caron were instrumental in helping Wake Forest make its 18th appearance in the NCAA Tournament this past year. The Demon Deacons finished the season with 15 wins, the most since 2008, and defeated three top-10 teams.
