COLUMBUS, OH – The No. 6 Wake Forest men's tennis team dropped its second-straight road match, losing at No. 1-ranked Ohio State Sunday afternoon, 7-0.
The Buckeyes claimed a 1-0 advantage after winning the doubles point, before winning four first-set en route to taking the match. The Deacs (13-3), dropped doubles matches on courts two and three, ahead of singles action. In singles, Ohio State (9-0) won on courts two and four, before clinching the match on court five.
No. 71 Eduardo Nava and No. 99 Jurabek Karimov were the only matches that went to a third set.
After the Buckeyes clinched, they held out the Deacs from putting up a point on the scoreboard by winning on courts one, three and six.

Wake Forest will compete at the ITA Indoor National Championships for the sixth time since 2016. It is scheduled for Feb. 18-21 in Seattle, Wash., the 47th running of the annual event showcases 16 of the top men's Division I teams in the four-day tournament to crown an indoor national champion.
